What should i use to wax my bikini area? I shaved my bikini area about two days, and have the itchy stubble. I would like a more longer lasting solution, but products i have tried recenetly dont seem to want to grub the stuble, though there is some hair growth above the skin. Does anyone have any suggestions or do you should it can be taken care of professionally? Do i have to let the hair grow out or what? I have used Surgi Wax Honey wax strips and Surgi Wax No Strip bikini wax. |
| Seek a qualified aesthetician!! Don't settle for the hair shop lady doing it. Make sure the aesthetician has had experience since school waxing the bikini...especially if it turns into a Brazilian or Sphinx waxing. The bikini area hair is coarser and more deeply rooted than other body hair. Also the skin in the area is more pliable so usually assisting the aesthetician in holding back skin and/or a body part is not unusual in a typical bikini wax. Make sure you eat well, drink plenty of water and get good sleep the day before the procedure. Oh yeah, hair should be at least 1 1/4" long before going in for the waxing. If it is longer, trimming is necessary. Get off the bed if she doesn't break out the trimmers! Good luck, take a squeezy ball and breathe! |
Can you use an at home bikini wax kit to give yourself an at home brazilian bikini wax? I was wondering that if I bought an at home bikini waxing kit (I was looking at getting an all natural honey wax if that changes things) could I use it to give myself a brazilian bikini wax or should the wax only be used on the area outlined by a bathing suit? |
| they don't work too well... you are best to go to a beauty supply shop and get the professional wax. I have been doing my own brazillians for 5 years and I have tried everything. Basically you get what you pay for. Get good stuff and you'll get a gr8 result |
Is it the same to wax bikini area with regular wax or specific bikini wax? okay so i get brazilian wax bc i guess i have sensitie skin and when i shave i get razor bumps... but when i wax i use the regular wax like the one to wax eyebrows.. and sometimes i still get bumps and ingrown hairs. whats the difference between the wax specifically for body wax / bikini waxing or the regular wax which is the honey colored wax |
| Bikini wax has ingredients for more sensitive skin. |
Can I wax my bikini area with honey? or anything other at home product?
let me know. |
| No. It wouldn't work. Wax is whole lot more than something sticky. |

How do I make home-made bikini wax? I googled it, the recipe calls for sugar, honey, corn syrup and lemon juice
I ran out of honey
I never had lemon juice
What else can I use instead of this recipe? |
My brother is a swimmer. He and his teammates use this recipe to remove body hair, including from sensitive areas, but you're going to have to find some lemon juice. It's a key ingredient.
Cook 1 tbsp. water, 3 tbsp. lemon juice, and 3 tbsp. sugar over low heat for about 45 minutes until the sugar caramelizes. Let cool. Result is a sticky wax. Apply this with a plastic or wood applicator in the direction of the hair growth. Press a piece of cloth firmly against it. Pull off in the opposite direction of hair growth |
