You need to take a step back and take a breath. Friends change and so do relationships. They go through phases and you can change them. She met someone new. Do not see it as her deserting you but expanding her own horizons. You can still be her best friend and you can befriend this new girl. Three of you can be as close as two of you. You have told her how you feel and she has told you. Now you need to let things grow. She wants to see you this weekend and you need to do that if you feel like it or not. You complain and she puts forth an effort and you don't want to? That is not going to help matters. When you feel hurt by your friends you do not blow up but you have a discussion and talk it out. It works much better.

I ask because I'm a mother of 6, and a grandmother to 3, and I grew up in the generation where EVERYBODY spanked guyren without a second thought. Why do older moms think they are so superior?
as it because more and more common for women in their 40's to have babies I have noticed a very irritating trend. Some of (I'm not stereotyping, thats why im saying some of) those women think they are better mothers than us younger ones (I'm 25). I actually had one of them tell me she's much more level headed and mature and a better mom for it. Hey, I'm all for moms havign babies whenever they like, but this whole superiority complex pisses me off. We are all moms, arent we? Does age really matter? I personally love being a younger mom because I personally have more physical energy and can tolerate the sleep deprivation better, and when I've pointed that out some take it personally, when I'm only trying to say it's whats best for me.

I just don't get why they think they are better moms. Nobody is a perfect mom.

Maybe it's just their personality, and maybe growing up they have become snobby, not soley thinking they are better mums, but just thinking they are better than everyone in general.

I think perhaps mature girls are attracted to guys with a more mature mentality and not necessarily guys who are older in general. Most of the time the older a guy is the more mature he gets, but in a different way than girls. When a guy is eighteen he's like the equivalent of a fourteen year old. Mature moms of little girls only?
My 3 and 5 year old complain almost daily of 'sore bums'. They ask to take baths all the time and when I can, I will put a little baking soda in the water.
